Mini-splits or Central AC?
Our HVAC professionals at Brisk Air have to admit that mini-split ductless ACs are indeed more efficient than central air conditioning. The reason is simple. Central AC depends on ductwork to move conditioned air from room to room. Though the ducts may be tight when they’re first installed, over the years, they tend to sag, and the seams between them loosen. This impedes airflow, which means the air conditioning system becomes less efficient. Seams that are not tight also allow pollutants into the ducts.
